History

Dolce began as an idea, a need for continuing education, honesty and commitment to integrity. After graduating cosmetology school in 1999, Brandi Nuttall (only 19 at the time) made the paramount decision to open her own salon and spa and create a company that combined everything she was looking for but could not find in her own career search. With the assistance of a standard loan of $1 million at 12% interest from her father, Brandi gave birth to a salon and spa that would provide: continuing ground breaking education, a culture that breeds the utmost level of professionalism and a welcoming environment that places clients at the very top of the list.

Dolce Salon & Spa first opened its doors to the public February 2, 2002 in the Westcor village just north of Chandler Fashion Center Mall. At 6,000 square feet, every aspect of design was overseen by Brandi herself. Grossing 1.8 million in the first year of existence, Brandi (now 28) was able to pay off her original loan in its entirety only the second year after conception. Dolce Salon & Spa at Chandler began to expand rapidly to what it is today: 40 hair stations, 17 spa rooms, 12 manicures stations, 10 pedicure thrones, a café and an exclusive Dolce suite. Totaling more than 12,000 square feet, Dolce Salon & Spa at Chandler is the largest salon and day spa in the southwestern United States.

2005 brought us Dolce Barber & Spa on December 15th. Dolce Barber & Spa is now one of only two full-service barber and spas in the entire state of Arizona. Dolce Barber & Spa was conceived after the notion that there are some men that will just never be comfortable going into a salon. Because Dolce Barber & Spa caters exclusively to men – every inch of the décor is designed to enhance the male experience. From our individually-controlled plasma screen televisions at each barber station to our gigantic fish tank featuring exotic fish, everyone who steps into this facility will be put at ease. With 8 vintage barber stations, 5 spa treatment rooms, 3 foot treatment thrones and 2 hand treatment stations, Dolce Barber & Spa offers clients the chance to enjoy the sweet difference!

In addition to Dolce Barber & Spa, Dolce & Companies Corporation premiered in North Phoenix in 2005. Our corporate office houses our training facilities and administrative offices.

In 2007, Dolce began a collaboration with Neos MedSpa in order to meet the ever-changing needs of Dolce Salon & Spa’s clients, marking the dawn of Dolce’s growth outside of the original establishment. Unlike franchised operations, Neos MedSpa is built on a solid foundation of research and development, conducted by internal medical personnel and under the direction of Dr. Shaun Parson, Neos' board-certified plastic surgeon.

Also in June of 2007, our second Salon & Spa location opened: a 13,000 square foot salon and spa at the Scottsdale Borgata, featuring 28 styling stations, 21 spa rooms, 10 manicure stations, 10 pedicure thrones, VersaSpa™ Sunless Tanning by MagicTan® and a relaxing cafe for clients.

In September of 2007, Dolce premiered our three-story 29,000 square foot location in Arrowhead, housing both Dolce Salon & Spa and Dolce Barber & Spa, making it the largest salon and day spa in the US. This enormous facility features 62 stylist stations, 21 spa rooms, 14 pedicure thrones, 9 manicure stations, 2 make-up counters, couples suite, steam room, sauna and jaccuzzi. NEOs MedSpa plans to join our Arrowhead location in 2008.
